Metallic eye shadow was all over the Spring runways, and celebrities seem wont to go “heavy metal” for all occasions. Here are some of our favorites:
Katy Perry has been spotted in both bright copper and gold eye shadows, both worn above and below her lashes. The copper is warm and mellow, the gold and instant eye brightener. You can achieve the same look with colorOn’s Bronze Goddess and Smooth Black Star Gold Shimmer, or 14-Karat with a bit of Smooth Monarch Gold Shimmer loose mineral pigment.
Keri Hilson sported a smoky eye created with a sheer pewter from her brow bone down to her lids, shading to a shimmery charcoal around the lash line. You can achieve a similar look using colorOn’s Platinum & Pearls as a base, adding Smooth Patina Silver Shimmer to add depth toward the crease and lid, and finish it off with mix of Patina Silver and Smooth Black Shimmer at the lash line and under the eyes.
The timelessly gorgeous Iman was spotted in a gold-flecked, dark brown smoky eye, extending the shadow from crease to lash-line and then extended the line outwards towards the temples. Try colorOn’s Gypsy or Bronze Goddess for a similar rich, shimmering look.
Jessica Simpson’s sexy smoky eyes broke with tradition by using bronze and brown hues rather than traditional blacks and grays, with black liner and plenty of mascara. Try colorOn’s Lava or Bronze Goddess for a similar gilded look.
Finally, Emmy Rossum’s eye makeup used the contrast between matte gray on her eyelids, and shimmering icy pewter underneath her eyes to create an elegant metallic look.
Try colorOn’s Charm instant eye shadow on the brow bone and lids, and Smooth Arctic Silver Shimmer or Smooth Patina Silver Shimmer below the lashes for the same contrast-y style.
