Welcome to 2012, ColorOn fans! This is our first Winner’s Circle of the year, but first we thought we’d bring you a color report on what are going to be the hot eye shadow trends for the next few months.

Mint/Seafoam Green: As seen on Lady Gaga’s Elle cover for January and on the Spring 2012 runway at Aquilano Rimondi, bright green is going to be big.

Most beauty editors are showing it as a matte or in combination with lightly pearly sheens, but this is not an in-your-face look.

ColorOn's Envy

Try Color On’s Envy, a gradient green and yellow combination from the Naturally Warmer Variety Kit for lighter skin tones.

ColorOn's Amazon

Amazon, a more verdant green and lemon combination from the Painted Desert Variety Kit, for deeper skin.

Intensely amethyst!

Amethyst: This multi-colored look (similar to the look worn on Victoria Beckham’s Spring 2012 runway) features three different shades of the jewel tone in the classic pattern of highlighter under the browbone, deepest shade in the crease, and the brightest pop on the eyelid.

For a similar look, try ColorOn’s Lost in Space, a combination of shimmer pink, cobalt, dusky sapphire, and hot violet from the Eye Envy Odyssey Variety Kit, blending well. To get the same level of shine, add our Smooth Purple Royale Shimmer loose mineral pigment.

Bronze: At Roberto Cavalli’s Spring 2012 show, bronzed eyes and nude lips were the order of the day.

ColorOn's Bronze Goddess

For this subtle look pictured, use ColorOn’s Bronze Goddess, where shimmery gold and glimmering deep brown combine to create a rich bronzed sheen.

For the more intense looks Cavalli showed, use Lava, a hot and shimmery gradient black and gold metallic, both from the Metallics Variety Kit.

Other bright eye makeup looks include yellow eyeliner (Peter Som); orange eyeliner (Derek Lam); violet, teal and chartreuse eyeliner (Loewe); red eyeshadow (Carolina Herrera); matte turquoise eyeshadow (Oscar de la Renta);  fuchsia eyeshadow (Nina Ricci); sparkly leaf green eyeshadow (Alberta Ferretti); and dozens of variations on gold eyeshadow and liner.

And our first eVIP of the year to be pulled at random into the Winners Circle for a free 10-application Custom Kit is Kristy DePalma of Sycamore, Illinois. She’ll be watching her mailbox next to see what beautiful surprise we send her. As always, we encourage our Winners Circle members to post their experiences on our Facebook Fan Page once they’ve had time to play with their new makeup, so that all of you get the benefit of real feedback on the products.

Be on the lookout for some special Valentine’s Kits – we’ll be debuting them very soon. Until then, have a gorgeous week!
